Season's Greetings

It's the Grinch who stole Christmas - for three decades running!

I've been sitting on this picture for a while, but thought I'd wait until the festive season to post it. Because somehow that makes joking about Fritzl a whole lot more acceptable.

Talking of being off-key, here's a somewhat dodgy rendition of Fairytale of New York. It features Pete Doherty's babymother on vocals. They probably knew each other from when Johnny Borrell briefly occupied heroin's title as the worst thing about The Libertines.

Hope you're making the most out of December! I certainly am. On Friday I was wearing a wedding dress and singing Driving Home For Christmas, and it doesn't get much better than that. I'm not kidding. If you're ever in Nottingham, check out The Social on a Friday night. They have a dressing up box and cheap beer, and the crowd are unpretentious without being scum. It might be a little less magical when the tunes aren't festive, but for now it's well worth a visit.
